It's not a coincidence that President Bush recalled soldiers from Iraq for Dick Cheney to lead against American citizens in the streets

Erica Jong....MORON SUPREME

I hope we never sound like this about Obama.

This is deranged stuff.

"The record shows that voting machines in America are rigged."

"My friends Ken Follett and Susan Cheever are extremely worried. Naomi Wolf calls me every day. Yesterday, Jane Fonda sent me an email to tell me that she cried all night and can't cure her ailing back for all the stress that has reduces her to a bundle of nerves."

"My back is also suffering from spasms, so much so that I had to see an acupuncturist and get prescriptions for Valium."

"After having stolen the last two elections, the Republican Mafia..."

"If Obama loses it will spark the second American Civil War. Blood will run in the streets, believe me. And it's not a coincidence that President Bush recalled soldiers from Iraq for Dick Cheney to lead against American citizens in the streets."

"Bush has transformed America into a police state, from torture to the imprisonment of reporters, to the Patriot Act."

She also laments that not all of America's men of letters share her devotion to Obama.

"Tom Wolfe and John Updike are men of the right and Philip Roth is at this point a hermit who leads a monastic life in Connecticut, far from everything and everybody."

Luckily, she said there is her and Michael Chabon, who, she says, have "taken the place of Susan Sontag and Norman Mailer respectively."

They have the same political sensibilities, she said, but a better "sense of humor."

So, she says she has a better sense of humor than Mailer and Sontag.

Then maybe all that stuff about back spasms and blood running in the streets was just a joke.

LOL

It's quite fascinating how many people one always suspected were flaming a-holes have been going out of their way to confirm it during this election.

Updike is "of the right"? When did that happen? Seems I've misjudged the man (due to his dumb-ass "Terrorist" novel in which he showed more sympathy for his teen-would-be-shaheed than for his potential victims.) He occasionally shops at the Borders where I work but we haven't seen him for a year. Probably hiding out. Poor Philip Roth, he must feel like he's watching his book "The Plot Against America" come to life.

One good sign, though -- several people have bought Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" recently, directly related to recent events. If she were still here she'd probably get a grim satisfaction out of that if she wasn't too busy horsewhipping Alan Greenspan up one side of Park Avenue and down the other.

Nice to hear these bitches' nerves and ailing backs are keeping them awake at night. I have the same problem but I'm then again I'm not sleeping with Prince Valium. If for no other reason, I'd welcome a McCain/Palin victory just to know it would make Jane Fonda's back spasm out.

Oh, and would someone please tell Jong that she is way past the shelf date where she can get away with dressing like a 50-something?

OK, that's my catty comments for the evening. Where's the Meow Mix...?
